THE NARRA CHEF’S KNIFE

Amboyna burl is a coveted segment of wood with a grain that captivates its viewer with its eyelet pattern. The burl twists and bends as a response to injury, a picture of resilience of the Philippine’s national tree, locally known as narra.

The veins of the wood coalesce in the mother-of-pearl inlay, another significant resource of the country bringing clarity to the piece. Paired with a reliable blade made of Nitro-V high-carbon stainless steel, the narra’s strength extends to the tip of the knife.

I’m happy to present the Narra Chef’s Knife, a build centered on Philippine materials, bringing me back to the core of my practice - championing the beauty of my home country.
